Origami Ball used to be my favorite paper model as a kid. It is so much fun to blow in your model ad you’ve got a ball! Just felt like posting this tutorial.
Glimpse of the Result:
Take a square sheet of paper and make center and diagonal creases as shown.
Slowly fold along these creases.
Press to get a triangular base.
Lift the right edge and fold upwards to the top corner of the triangle.
Repeat the above step for the left corner of the triangle.
Flip the model and repeat steps 4 and 5.
Bring the right and left corners of the rhombus towards the center and press to make creases.
Flip the model and repeat the step above.
Lift the left flap at the bottom and fold it in half as shown.
Insert this folded flap in the pocket above. Repeat this for all the other three flaps of the model.
Separate the sides of the model as shown.
If you can see, a hole is formed in the model. Blow is air through this hole. A paper ball or balloon (however you want to call it) is done.
