In this tutorial, we shall see how to make an e-greeting for Christmas using Photoshop.
Glimpse of the Result:
Create a new file that would have 500px ? 350px dimension.
Select the Gradient Tool (G), pick the colors required and fill using the tool.
Select the layer and apply a particular layer style of your choice. I have chosen the Layer style – White Stationary.
You will get the below look:
Create a duplicate of the above layer on which we will work.
Now, select the tool Brush tool (B). Pick the color (Yellow, in this tutorial) and make impressions using the brush as shown below.
Now, select this new layer and apply changes as shown below.
The top layer now looks as shown below:
Now use the Pen Tool (P) and make an outline of the Christmas Tree.
We are now going to fill this pattern using Stars. Star is available under Assorted Brushes category – pick this and fill the tree in a pattern or randomly. I have also used stars from a downloaded set of brushes. You can experiment with different but suitable shapes too!
Use the Text Tool and write your greeting wishes.
You can use other pattern stamping and Christmas pattern brushes to add a little more glitz to the card. And the Christmas card is here!
