This Phototshop tutorial will show you how to add a comic effect to images.
The tutorial will show how to add a comic effect to an image of your choice using simple Photoshop techniques and tools. Each step hs been demonstrated with detailed guidelines and images.
Glimpse of the Result:
Choose an image which you would like to edit. I have chosen the below image from Flickr (Image Credit).
You can level or make any other such adjustment to your image to get the required color tones and shades.
Make a copy of your original layer to work upon.
Now check if the Mode is set to RGB Color. This can be checked under Image –> Mode –> RGB Color.
The first effect we would be applying is the Poster Edges filter. Go to Filter –> Artistic –> Poster Edges.
Now adjust the Brightness and Contrast as per requirement and that which suits the image you have chosen. I have selected Brightness: 68 and Contrast: 30.
Finally, go to Filter –> Artistic –> Cut Out to add the cut out effect to the image. And….
Yes, you’re done with the comic effect!
