Mehendi – this is one of the traditions which loved and cherished by any woman. Mehendi is a shrub which gives a beautiful red hue colour to one’s hands when ground and applied on to. There are various forms of Mehendi designs such as Indian mehendi and arabic mehendi.
These beautiful patterns are applied using a cone which is filled with the mehendi paste.
Mehendi forms an important part of any bridal make up. The fine designs are drawn on the hands and feet and are allowed to dry for a few hours. Once the dried paste is taken off, it results in a beautiful pattern in red hue.
Tips for a dark Mehendi Design:
To bring out a darker shade, generally lemon juice or a beetel nuts paste is mixed with the henna (mehendi ) paste and applied. It is also advisable to apply gingely oil or coconut oil to the hands and feet after removing the mehendi. This makes the mehendi stay on for more number of days as well.
