Toonish Foam Magnets

How to make toonish foam magnets:

Step 1:

Draw the outline of the item you have in mind on a foam sheet of suitable color. Here is the outline of a tomato.

Step 2:

Cut along the outline and cut out the piece of craft foam. Similarly for the leaf, green foam has been cut out and glued on the red piece.

Step 3:

Using a black permanent marker, an outline is drawn and the ink is allowed to dry.  A few strokes are also drawn for a toonish effect.

Step 4:

Once the ink has dried well, flip the piece and glue on a piece of magnet. Ensure that the magnet is of appropriate size. Use a good adhesive that will hold well. Many adhesives do not work too well with foam sheets.
