This is a DIY on making quiling earrings in the Christmassy colors red and green. This is my first attempt at making something using Susan’s beehive quilling technique as well! So let’s begin the tute on making these pretty pair of Christmassy earrings…!
Supplies Needed:
Tools Needed:
- Round Nose Pliers
- Flat Nose Pliers
How to make quilling Christmassy earrings:
Step 1:
Take the quilled teardrop shaped piece. As can be seen, the inside of the piece has been quilled with the beehive technique. Just felt this pattern would make the earrings look more ornamental. And as always, apply a sealant on the quilled piece so that it gets a glossy finish and the shape is kept intact.
Step 2:
Insert an eye pin at the top of the quilled piece.
Step 3:
Now slide an acrylic daffodil bead down the eye pin.
Step 4:
Bend the eye pin and bring it upwards. Straighten one side using flat nose pliers.
Step 5:
Now get a grasp of the loop using round nose pliers and wrap the wire around the eye pin stem using your hand.
Step 6:
Insert a fish hook ear wire.
Step 7:
Repeat steps 1 to 6 to make the other earring piece and here is the completed pair!
They look absolutely Gorgeous 🙂 Love love!
