Supplies Needed:

How to make tightly quilled coil earrings:

Step 1:

Make a tightly quilled coil small in size which would be suitable for a stud. Quilling strips in two colors have been used to make this tight coil.

Step 2:

Apply a coat of fabric glue and allow it to dry well.

Step 3:

Apply fabric glue on a earring post.

Step 4:

Attach the small tight coil to the earring post as shown. Allow the glue to dry well… since we are using the quilled piece as a stud, unless the glue dries really well, it could come off easily.

Step 5:

Now make a bigger coil which will be the other part of the earring. This disc will dangle from the earring stud.

Step 6:

Quill a small loop and attach it using fabric glue.

Step 7:

Insert a jump ring. Use flat nose pliers to open and close the jump ring.

Step 8:

Slide the dangling part on the back of the earring post.

Step 9:

Set the ear back.

Step 10:

Repeat steps 1 to 9 for the other earring piece…and we’re done!
