Lace Rosettes are used to adorn dresses, on hairbands and as embellishments on gifts or greeting cards.
How to make Lace Rosettes:
Start with a strip of broad lace.
Using a needle and thread start gathering the lace as shown. A slightly bigger needle makes it easier to gather the lace.
Gather enough of the lace strip so it looks like a flower.
Now sew the ends of the lace strip together and cut off the rest of the strip. Use thread of the same color as the lace so the stitches aren’t visible.
Sew a big pearl at the center. A gold bead or a suitable rhinestone could also be used alternatively.
You can use this lace rosette on dresses, hair pins or wherever you would like to add an elegant vintage look.
