This tutorial will show you how to make a tiny bouquet of roses using Thai clay, polymer clay or alternatively m-seal.
Glimpse of the Clay Roses:
Let’s see he steps to make these clay roses. Before we begin, you have to excuse me for the bad pictures..!
Take a box of M-seal (alternatively Polymer clay can be used).
Mix both the parts by rolling together till the mix becomes completely white.
Divide the mix into small balls of the same proportion (Keep a part of the mix for making leaves) . From each small ball we will make one rose.
Take a ball and flatten it in your palm as shown.
Starting from one end and roll it towards the center. Mildly press to join the lower end like a stem.
Attach a metal string to form the stem.
Make leaves using clay and small dents in the leaves for veins.
Attach a metal string for each leaf.
Repeat steps 6 and 8 for all the flowers and leaves.
Allow the models to air dry for 45 minutes to an hour. The clay will harden.
Paint the flowers using acrylic colors.
Wrap the stems using green floral tape.
Similarly paint all the flowers, leaves and wrap floral tape for the pieces.
To make the vase, repeat steps 1 and 2 and shape it as needed. I’ve made a crooked one as I was bored with the usual clean neatly shaped vase!
Allow it to dry.
Paint the vase in a suitable color. Allow a coat to dry and apply another coat.
Arrange the flowers and leaves in the vase.
Note : If Polymer clay is used, it has to be baked so that the model hardens. If M Seal or Fevicryl Hobby clay is being used, then it will air dry and harden.
