Glimpse of the Result:
For this you will need:
- Chart paper
- Sparkle glue
- Rhinestones or plastic gems
How to make 3D Paper Snowflakes:
Take a square piece of chart paper. Cut 14 pieces of the same size.
Make a curve pattern on the sides of the paper. You can use a paper punching tool for this; or if you are patient, a pair of scissors can do the trick.
Pinch one corner and make a cone shaped figure by rolling this sheet of paper.
Glue the edges to hold the shape.
Make eleven more cones of the same size. Though this depends on the size of your structure.
Take a base square a paste the cones adjacent to one another.
Continue pasting all the cones to the base till you get a complete circular frame.
Take a sheet of paper similar to the one we cut out in step 2 and paste it at the center of the structure.
Draw some pattern in the center of the paper snowflake using sparkle glue. Alternatively, you can make a small structure using thermocol to give an embossed effect.
Paste a few paper patterns in each cone if desired. I made a leaf like pattern and pasted them at the center of each cone.
You can paste rhinestones or plastic jewels at the center of each cone to add some sheen.
This will give the finishing touch to the 3 dimensional structure.
You can make these snowflakes in smaller sizes and hang it as an ornament. You can also use these paper snowflakes as embellishments on gift wraps.
